June 2011 knitting dates, Cambridge and Ely

Cambridge

Saturday 4 June
2-4pm, Granta Bar, ground floor, University Centre, Granta Place, off Mill Lane.
The bar may not be open but drinks can be obtained from the Cafe on the top floor.

Tuesday 14 June
7-9pm, Granta Bar, ground floor, University Centre, Granta Place, off Mill Lane.

Saturday 18 June
Note: Part of World Wide Knit in Public "Day" If the weather is nice we will be on the lawn outside - just in front of the Mill Public House. Drinks can be obtained from the Granta Bar or the Mill, or bring your own if it's a nice day. The Granta Bar is usually cheaper.

Tuesday 21 June
NOTE: the Alex will not be open until 7pm on Tuesdays from May onwards
7-9pm, The Alexandra Arms ("The Alex"), Gwydir Street.

Tuesday 28 June
NOTE: return to the Cambridge Blue. Pub and garden are open and they are doing food. When we went back in May, they were really pleased to see the few of us who turned up!

Ely

7-9pm every Thursday
King's Arms, Ely (the Lamb is closed for renovation).

Worldwide Knit in Public "Day"

This year this is a week long period from 11 to 18 June.

There may be some people at the Town and Country Show in Cambridge on 11 June, but nothing formal has currently been organised. If anyone's interested in volunteering to be there, find a spot and devise some way of directing people to it, do please comment here, or better still, comment on the Ravelry group.
