anyone fancy an awayday (Norwich)?

There's a rather interesting exhibition coming up at the Sainsbury Centre in Norwich and I wondered whether anyone would be interested in a group visit (possibly also taking in Norfolk Yarns (for such tempting brands as Noro, Louisa Harding, Colinette).

We could travel by train from Cambridge (via Ely, so there'd be connections of sorts from Waterbeach and March) then we'd have to take buses in Norwich. (Rather wonderfully, if going to Norfolk Yarns, the stop you ask for is "Mecca").

I'm thinking of March/April and days that I could do are Weds, Fri and Sat. Would be quite happy to go twice (one Saturday, one weekeday!)

The exhibition also has some intriguing sounding workshops coming up.

Interested in coming? Leave a comment here!

Sounds great to me. I can do everything but Sat 1st March (although I know people are SkippingNorth the following weekend!) and any of the ones in April...

Think 15 March is probably a regular KTog date! So let's go for 5 April for the Saturday date and maybe some time in March for any weekday people. Watch this space!

Sounds like fun. As far as I know I can do any of those days, though I haven't actually looked at my diary.

Do you know how much they charge for the exhibition?

5 April works for me

Thanks for suggesting it

Well the actual entrance price is £2.00 and £1.00 concessions! Not sure about the travel costs, lunch and yarn expenditure though :-)

I'll be gone 14 March until 14 April so if anyone would like to go outside those dates, I'd be interseted. Otherwise, I'll check details and perhaps venture that way with my husband (poor guy)!

Oh,no. I've just gone and fixed the Friday date for 14 March. Sorry, Adrienne. But there's also quite a lot of modern and "world" art on display; might that keep your dearly beloved interested? If not, central Norwich has plenty to offer.

No worries! Matt and I went to Norwich for a day before and have been talking about getting back again soon. Now I have an excuse for us :)

On a knitting note, I'm curious if anyone has suggestions for sites of more efficient knitting techniques. I'd like to increase my speed a bit. I'm up for suggestions from anyone Saturday. See you then!!
