Twelve Go (Yarn) Mad in Norwich

Saturday's trip to Norwich was huge fun. Here we are at the bus stop on the UEA campus (where we were entrhalled, inspired and amused by the exhibits in the Cloth and Culture Now exhibition). Note the eager excitement on our faces as we gleefully consider out next destination... Left to right: Mona, the top of E-J's head, Deborah, Jayne's head, Bekki, Carole, Jackie (almost completely concealed by the bus stop), Claire, Manda, Heather and Jen.

And here we are, two-and-a-half hours later, standing in front of Norwich Station: note the addition of brown paper bags full of swag from the wonderful Norfolk Yarn (where we were overcome by the irresistible urge to buy lots of Noro and many other tempting things)
From left to right we have Claire, Mona, Deborah, Jayne, the top of Heather's head, Bekki, Jackie (very kindly holding my yarn, as well as hers), E-J, Jen, Manda and Carole. You can just see some rather luscious Hummingbird Alpaca peeking out of Carole's bag.

looks like you had a good time...now what exactly did you all 'need' from the woolshop?

Well, Picperfic, in my case, at least, plenty of Noro Silk Garden and some bargain dk to balance out the cost of the Noro...

Hi there,

I've been looking for a knitting group in Cambridge because I really want to learn how to knit and meet some new people. I found this page on one of my googling expeditions! Is your knitting group open to newcomers?

Thanks,

Mon
