The knitting dates for December are as follows:

Thursday 18 December 7-9pm, The Lamb, ELY

Saturday 20 December 2-4pm, Granta Bar, ground floor, University Centre, Granta Place, off Mill Lane, CAMBRIDGE

Tuesday 23 December 7-9 pm, Cambridge Blue, Gwydir Street, CAMBRIDGE

Wow - the end of another year, already! Hope your Christmas knitting isn't too frantic, and to see you sometime in December...

Winter Fair Sat 29th November

Hi all

Just to let you know that The Shop are having a Winter Fair on Sat 29th Nov. The Shop is where the Make do and Mend event happened.

Anyway the Fair starts at Midday and goes on till 4pm. There are going to be crafts stalls, decorations, grotto, face painting and a reindeer and the cafe pretty much next door will be open too. Very child friendly. The organisers are setting up a knitting area and any one who would like to go and knit is very welcome. There maybe other fair goers there who would like to learn to knit and it would be great if we could help out. They are going to provide yarn and needles for folks.

Would be great if you could make - sounds like it could be a lot of fun :-)

Spinning event

There's going to be a gathering for spinners at Heather's house (she's Cybil on Ravelry) on Sunday 16th November (this Sunday).

Details are

Holywell (near St Ives) between 2pm and 5pm. Anyone welcome with their wheel and/or spindle. Lifts may still be available from Frances [goldenneedles on Ravelry]. Contact Heather for further details at Heather DOT Corbishly AT btinternet DOT com (you know what to replace...).
