Ely Apple Day

Ely ktog will be at the annual Ely Apple Day, celebrating all things apple, on Saturday 17th October between 10am and 4pm. If anyone could make anything (apple-related or not, although it would be good to fill a fruit bowl with knitted/crocheted apples!) it would be fantastic because the more money we make the better….it doesn’t matter how small - we’ll sell it! We're joining forces with the Ely coffee and crafts group who have nominated Arthur Rank as our charity, to whom all proceeds from the event will be donated. Patterns for knitted apples can be found here and here (Ravelry links). Please come along and support us, and we'll keep our fingers crossed that this spell of lovely autumn weather continues!

October knitting dates, Cambridge and Ely

Dear all

The knitting dates for October are set out below. As always everyone is welcome to come to any session they fancy. Maps and information about the venues can be found in the right-hand sidebar.

Cambridge

Saturday 3 October

2-4pm, Grads Cafe, third floor, University Centre, Granta Place, off Mill Lane.

Tuesday 13 October (Stash Swap)

7-9pm, Granta Bar, ground floor, University Centre, Granta Place, off Mill Lane.

Saturday 17 October (Stash Swap)

2-4pm, Grads Cafe, third floor, University Centre, Granta Place, off Mill Lane.

Tuesday 27 October

7-9 pm, Cambridge Blue, Gwydir Street.

The stash swaps in Cambridge are an opportunity for anyone who has stash (yarn or books etc) that they do not want to bring it along in case someone else would like it. To take part you don't have to bring anything - it's still OK to take something home.

Ely

Thursday 1 October 7-9pm, The Lamb.

Thursday 8 October 7-9pm, The Lamb.

Thursday 15 October 7-9pm, The Lamb.

Thursday 22 October 7-9pm, The Lamb.

Thursday 29 October 7-9pm, The Lamb.

Jackie sends out the email information once every month (and it will then also be uploaded to the blog and Ravelry - see below). If you find out about something that you think others would be interested in please let her know at jackie AT rippeth DOT org by the 20th of the previous month.

Because these meetings are very informal and Jackie only sends out an email once a month you may find that other people arrange additional activities which will not have been included in the email. We attempt to update the blog with other interesting things we know about, but the best way to keep informed is the knit Cam group at http://www.ravelry.com/groups/ktog-cambridge-uk. (And if you haven't joined Ravelry yet, there is so much good stuff over there that it's worth it - http://www.ravelry.com - nearly half a million knitters can't be wrong!)
