May 2011 knitting dates, Cambridge and Ely

The knitting dates for May are set out below. As always everyone is welcome to come to any session they fancy.

Cambridge

Saturday 7 May
2-4pm, Granta Bar, ground floor, University Centre, Granta Place, off Mill Lane.

The bar may not be open but drinks can be obtained from the Cafe on the top floor.

Tuesday 10 May
7-9pm, Granta Bar, ground floor, University Centre, Granta Place, off Mill Lane.

Tuesday 17 May

NOTE: the Alex will not be open until 7pm on Tuesdays from May onwards
7-9pm, The Alexandra Arms ("The Alex"), Gwydir Street.

Saturday 21 May
We hope to be joined by Sophie who is organising the Saffron Walden Knitted Maze. You can either bring materials to join in or bring your projects as usual and find out what the Knitted Maze is all about.

Tuesday 24 May

NOTE: return to the Cambridge Blue. Pub and garden are open and they are doing food.

Thursday 5 May
7-9pm, The Lamb.

Thursday 12 May
7-9pm, The Lamb.

NOTE: the Lamb is closed for refurbishment from this point in May

The Ely knitters are organising a pub crawl on 19th May starting at 7 p.m. to select a pub to go to whilst the Lamb is not available. More details will be available on Ravelry.

An early date for your diary - 11 June is World Wide Knit in Public Day and I'm sure that activities will be organised nearer the date.
